What is Remediation?

Once an inspection has been completed and a scope of work has been approved, remediation is the next step to solving your mold problem. While each remediation is different, there are industry Standards of Practices that we use on every project. During the remediation, prevention of cross-contamination is our number one concern. We follow the guidelines from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) to offer you the most professional and thorough remediation job, without contaminating other areas of the dwelling. There are guidelines that must be followed in order to keep everyone safe. In order to stop the spread of mold and remove as much mold as possible, we will have to physically remove porous materials. Anytime drywall or other building materials are disturbed or removed, there is the potential for mold spore contamination. To mitigate this, we use negative air containment during our remediation process. This containment protects the unaffected areas of the dwelling from additional contamination of mold spores that may result from demolition. In the remediation space, we use 3-stage HEPA filtered air scrubbers to remove any mold spores or other particulate from the air. Air Care Wizard technicians will measure the cubic volume of the area under containment and set up equipment to obtain two to three air changes per hour. We use EPA registered antimicrobial products to treat your Mold infestation.

While most professional Mold Remediators follow similar guidelines, we pride ourselves on offering an unparalleled level of detail and service. We know that no one likes having his or her home life disrupted by a mold issue. Because of this, we work diligently to accurately quote the length of time needed for each job. Our Project Manager will keep open lines of communication and answer any questions that you may have. Our remediation technicians are the best in the industry and will treat your home with care and respect.
